LPG transport and distribution
LPG is easily liquefied under low pressure, which facilitates its transport and storage.
The transport of butane and propane is organized in two phases.
Massive or primary transport:
Butane and propane are transported from refineries or major storage sites to bulk relays depots and filling centers. It is carried out by pipeline, wagons and semi-trailers.
Terminal or secondary transport:
Butane and propane are transported from bulk relays and filling centers to professional and private customers. It is carried out with semi-trailers, or small carriers for private customers.
The transport of butane and propane complies with international ADR and RID regulations. These regulations are supplemented by the TMD order – “Transport of Dangerous Goods”), for France.
