Refrigerant gases

Refrigerant gases

A refrigerant gas is a fluid that allows the implementation of a refrigeration cycle.

It is used in agriculture and in the manufacture of fertilizers, explosives, cleaning fluids and some pharmaceuticals. Food and beverage companies also use a lot of ammonia for refrigeration, freezing and bulk storage.

Refrigerant gases can be pure or be composed of a mixture of pure gases present in liquid, gaseous phase or both depending on the temperature and the pressure.

Refrigerant gases absorb heat at low temperature and low pressure, then release heat at higher temperature and pressure.

They are used in heat absorption systems (air conditioning, freezer) or in heat pumps, which absorb thermal energy from the outside and return it inside a room.

These gases, like many other gases, are stored and transferred in a liquid state.

Equip’fluides offers you a wide range of equipment for the storage and transfer of refrigerant gases, meeting the regulatory and environmental requirements in force in this field.
